  HISTORY OF TEEN CHALLENGE  WORLDWIDE

 Since its inception in 1958 in Brooklyn New York, Teen Challenge has pioneered a 

multi-disciplinary treatment model that  enables young people with life-controlling problems,

especially 

substance abusers 

to recover from their physical, emotional and 

spiritual 

debilitation from more than 300 centers around the globe.

Teen Challenge reaches out to people from all backgrounds, with particular emphasis on our youths and children  with life controlling issues. From 1996 with non-stop outreaches in schools and communities. In 2011, Teen Challenge 

American Samoa has been blessed with a CP for a FM radio for youths and children to support and speed our efforts for faith-based solutions to everyday

 Teen Challenge is a faith-based therapeutic community that is centered on the treatment of youth and children through a wide range of different therapies: work, group, individual, music, recreational, academic, vocational, spiritual. Teen Challenge focuses on developing a life-long wholeness and self-acceptance that yields a modification of behavior, which allows the individual to function productive living society.
GOAL

The primary goal of Teen Challenge is to reverse the effects of life-controlling issues and how an individual can maintain a lifestyle free from at-risk issues.

1. Education about the causes and effects of life-controlling issues and how an individual can maintain a lifestyle from at-risk issues.

2. The rebirth of the individual's mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual                                capacities.

3. Removal of the individual from a destructive lifestyle into a new "faith-based " environment.

4. An opportunity for the individual to become a productive member of the                              community.
